AGM 2025
Held at the SLAAS Auditorium, Colombo 7 on the 11th May 2025
The 3rd Annual General Meeting was successfully held at the SLAA Auditorium and was followed by a warm fellowship dinner. The meeting marked an important milestone with the appointment of new members to the Executive Committee following the resignation of several committee members. Urb. Des. Anuk Wethasinghe and Urb. Des. Madumali Sumanadasa were welcomed as newly appointed council members. In addition, several new boards were established, strengthening the Institute’s capacity to effectively carry out its functions and advance its mission.
AGM 2024
Held at the ITPSL Auditotrium, Colombo 7 on the 9th March 2024
The 2nd SLIUD Annual General Meeting was held at the Auditorium of the Institute of Town Planners Sri Lanka. The meeting provided a valuable platform for discussing a wide range of matters pertaining to the growth and functioning of SLIUD. Prof. Janak Wijesundara was reappointed for a second term to continue overseeing the Institute’s legal and corporate affairs, reaffirming confidence in his leadership and expertise. Certificates were also awarded to newly admitted corporate members and associate members, marking an important milestone in their professional journey within the Institute.
AGM 2023
Held at the Club House, Havolock City, Colombo on the 30th January 2023
The first-ever Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Urban Designers was held prior to the forum at the rooftop clubhouse of Havelock City, Colombo. Key positions were conferred during the meeting, with Dr. Janaka Wijesundara appointed as President, Archt. Pradeep Fernando as Secretary, Archt. Jayanatha Wickramanayaka as Treasurer, and Archt. Piyal Silva as Senior Vice President. Awards for the art competition held as part of the event were also presented. The AGM concluded on a celebratory note with a fellowship dinner.
